At the Royal Race Meeting at Ellerslie there was a record attendance. Ths following are the concluding results:—■ Prince of Wales’ Cup.—Arrowsmith 1. Mangamahoe 2. Uncle Ned 3. Ser: Rockfield. Won bv a length. Time 2.7 3-5.
Kairere Steeplechase.—No Surrender 1, Guanaco 2. Tenacious 3. Scr.: Battletide and Peneton. Won by three lengths. Time 6.14.
Renoun Handicap.—King Abbey 1, Crowhurst 2, Gold Kip 3 Scr: War Tank- Won by two lengths. Time 1.14.
Massey Handicap (Second Division). —Prince Rufus 1, Royal Abbey 1, Marble Slab 3. Also started : War Tank, Formalip, Oak Abbey, Tlnohoro, General Stephen, Independence, Tuipa, Bang, Tom Moore,-Golden Petal, Sanacre, M» Copper, Active Octoplete Pentagram and Amans Lass. Won by half 1 length. Time; 1.14 2-5. The totalisator returns showed £77,476.
