FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE AUCAUCTIONEERING COMPANY, LTD., The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Go's, weekly market report:— I Beef: —The beef market is now in full swing, freezing buyers and butchers; keenly competing for all stock offering. The yardings for the greater part have been heavy and the quality fairly well up to standard for this time of the year. i ■Mutton: —Mutton is now offering in] the same proportion as beef, and barely! satifies the local demand. _ I Pat Lambs:—Activity in this branch still continues undiminished. The present disregard of any fixed scale of j prices amongst exporters has had a • very unsettling effect, and holders generally show a strong disinclination! to commit themselves to any definite undertaking. It is to be hoped that, before long some degree of stability will be established. j Store Cattle: —There is no improve- \ ment to report in this class of stock.; Notwithstanding the great decrease in j the number of calves reared this season, the market has opened very weak, I and although many refuse to accept the public estimate, there does not appear, to be much prospect of improvement, in the near future. j

Dairy Cattle:—These have shown little alteration since last report. Values are subject to fluctuation. Store Sheep:—As was anticipated in our last report the tone of the market for this class is better. Unfortunately grown wethers are scarce, as considerable business could present be transacted. In oonsequence of the dry weather on the coast, two or three mobs of two-tooth wethers are drifting this way from Gisbome. There is every indication that these will be eagerly absorbed on arrival by the local demand. j Rape Lambs:—<lood business is reported, and ne doubt {he high prices effering for the finished article will make this elass of much greater value than in previous years. ,pig 9: —Baconers are being yarded in large quantities and draw keen competition everywhere. Weaners still decline.
