Fratcl, an Eurasian, who was charged with cruelty and callousness to the British Kut-cl-Amara prisoners, was sentenced to twelve months imprisonment from the date of the trial, reduced to the ranks, and dismissed from the service. The King has remitted nine months of the sentence, releasing Fratcl after seven days' actual imprisonment. A TRAIN DERAILED. SEVEN KILLED, 14 INJURED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.)
