EARLY RATIFICATION LIKELY. CHANGE IN DEMOCRATIC STAND. BY MR BRYAN’S INTERVENTION. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received January 13, 8.50 p.m. WASHINGTON, Jan. 12. In the Senate Messrs King and Ashurst expressed the opinion that the treaty would be 1 ratified shortly. They thought that Mr Bryan’s intervention was likely to lead the Democrats to abandon their extreme opposition. 'Mr Bryan had previously expressed the opinion that the Senate would ratify tin# treaty in lime to allow the United biates to enter the League at the inception.
