OBITUARY
IVIR GEORGE GILES, SENR.
We regret to chronicle the passing of still another of the old band of pioneers. This time it is Mr George Giles, senr., who passed away at the residence of his daughter, Mrs Broadwell, at Manurewa, on Monday, at the of 78 years. The late Mr Giles came out from the Old Country, and settled at Leamington 45 years ago, and resided there until six or seven years ago, when he left the district. He was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him, and during his long residence in the Cambridge district made many sincere friends. Ho leaves three daughters, Mrs Broadwell (Manurewa), Mrs Pearce (Auckland), and Mrs Conning (Wanganui), and three sons,. Mr H. W. Giles (Monavalc), Mr J. W. Giles (Wanganui), and Mr George Giles (Papakurp).
