Professor Rankinc demonstrated telephoning by light transmission, the instrument being a pliotophone gramophone and sound box delicately posed, a mirror replacing the needle, the effect of light upon the element solonium causing the mirror '.o convey the sound oscillations received. Professor Raakine states that sunlight offers limitless opportunities for the transmission of speech, always allowing for the earth's | curvatures. PREMIERS HONOURED. (United Press Association.)
