THE INDIAN SITUATION
TRIBAL ATTACK REPULSED. Received January Hj 5.5 p.m. DELHI, January 10. Advices from Jandola, dated the 9th inst., state that tribal meetings continue: at Kaniduram. Musa Khan Fazildin remains obdurate and is preparing to oppose our advance. With Musa Khan Fazirin broken, the last barrier to a complete settlement would disappear. The G7th and 43rd Brigades have established a camp north of Cotrai. During the withdrawal of the 43rd, which acted as covering troops, the enemy endeavoured to rush the pickets, but was repulsed with heavy losses. Our casualties were slight. The air force continues bombing.
