MEXICAN EARTHQUAKE

S The New York Times’ Mexican correspondent says that an area of 90.000 square miles in the State of Vera Gmz has been ruined toy the earthquake. Rivers have disappeared, and grazing lands have been mined, herds destroyed and villages wiped out. Thousands of persons are injured and homeless. Disease epidemics are feared owing to contaminated watercourses. The total deaths are now estimated at 3000.
