MOMENTOUS ISSUES TO DECIDE.

Mr Lloyd George, accompanied by 50 officials, has departed for Paris to attend the inter-Allied Conference, which will really amount to a second Peace Conference, dealing with most momentous questions. The questions for decision include the trial of the exKaiser and his accomplices. It is stated-that the British Government adheres to the declaration of Mr. Lloyd George that the ex-Kaiser and other guilty -persons must be tried. Meanwhile Germany is agitating against the surrendering of the war criminals. Berlin is developing a society -called the “Save Your Honour League.” \ BERLIN-;, Jan. 8. The Government is being urged <o defy the Allies, and to tell them to conie and fetch the guilty parties. If the Allies do, surprises are promised. The future of Constantinople is another big question. It is hinted that the British may adopt the French view to leave the Turks, at Constantinople, but establishing machinery for guarding the Straits.
