IMPRACTICABILITY OF AVIATION. (United Press Association.) (Received Jan. 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. The Manchester Guardian stales that Mr Cope’s idea of aeroplaning seems only a picturesque and dangerous sideshow, of which 'the probable results will not be worth the risks. It will he a tremendous ordeal to fly over the ranges, and the deadly danger of a forced landing will be omnipresent. Will the aeronauts say that it is possible to land, on hard ice or uncertain snow on skis?
