ADRIATIC QUESTIONS
EARLY ALLIED CONFERENCE. ITALIAN PROGRAMME OUTLINED. (Reuter’s Telegrariis.) Received January 8, 9 a,m. LONDON, January 6. The Italian Premier and Foreign Minister have arrived, and will confer with Mr Lloyd George prior to a conference with ’M. Olemenceau and Mr Lloyd George in Paris on the Adriatic questions. They have already interviewed M. Olemenceau. and subsequently stated that they anticipated that the conference would result in a satisfactory solution. The Italian programme is reported to be Ivrea and a few islands for Italy, autonomy for Fiume and Zara, a guarantee for the Italians in Jugo-Slavia, neutralisation of the Adriatic coast.
