The New South Wales quarter-mile swimming championship was won by Ross (America), Longworth 2, Brown 3. The race was won in the easiest manner by 20 yards, in 5.22. (United Press Association.) Norman Ross established a world s irecord in his time in the 440-yards swimming championship, and could have improved the time as the result was never in doubt.
