The demands include a 50 per cent increase in wages • and a 10-hour day. COAL SHORTAGE. (United Press Association.) ADELAIDE, January 3. Owing to the coal shortage, caused by the strike, the Coal Board has decided to cancel further allotments of coal to non-essential industries. SENATE ELECTIONS. (United Press Association.)
