HOLDING-UP FOOD
DELAYS IN UNLOADING. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received January 5, 12.30 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 3. The Plymouth Food Committee has protested 'to the Food Ministry for detaining the Germanie there charged, with 115,000 carcases of Australian mutton and other food. An official of the Dockers' Union states that the vessel has burnt 3000 tons of coal while detained. There is sufficient lighterage to land the cargo, and cold storage to accommodate threequarters of the cargo.
