Novice Stakes.—Valley Rose 1. Tur penite 2, Amberine 3. Ten started. Won by a length. Time 1 11 3-5.
Empire Welter.—Arrowfield 1, Rflso Queen 2, Ladify 3. Ten started .Won by a neck.
WHATAWHATA RACING CLUB
The programme for the annual race meeting of the Whatnwhata Club has been issued. For a non-totalisator gathering the Club has shown great enterprise and it is trusted that its farsightedness will be rewarded by the fields which line up at the barrier on January 1 next. There are seven races on the programme including a handicap hurdles, and a handicap trot. The cup is endowed with 40 sovs. Nominations close with the secretary, -Mr W. D. Laxon at Whatawhafa or Hamilton, on December 3.
