WORKERS' EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE
OPENING OF SEASON. A meeting of the Hamilton branch of the Workers' Educational Association was held last night for'the purpose of making arrangements for the 1919 season. Mr A. E. Webb presided over a good attendance of past and intending students. It was decided to take the Economic Class into a third year, Mr N. R. McKenzie, Government Inspector of Schools having agreed to again act as leader. It was also resolved to establish a speakers' training class, with a limited number of members, the members being secured in the room. It was hoped the Auckland Executive Council would appoint Rev. E. 0. Blamires as leader of the class, he having had a similar class at Hawera for two years. The opening session will be held on May 19. More members are wanted for th-3 Economic Class, and those interested should communicate with the secretary, Mr A. E. Webb.
