POST VJh n DISTRIBUTION. LESSONS TO BE LEARNT. '(Australian and N.Z. Gable Assn.) LONDON March 29. After the war the distribution of the Navy will be a home licet and seven squadrons, which will be stationed in the Atlantic, West Atlantic, China, South Africa, South America, East Indies, and the Mediterranean. Admiral Beatty, replying to the presentation of the Freedom of Liverpool, said that the Navy had learned many lessons during the war, and we must see that those lessons are taken ■to heart, so that we shall not again have to face a great crisis with improvised methods. Such economies as ret. nchment requires must be applied isely, with a proper understandin; of future problems in the light ox the experience gained in the war.
