Two llirce-ton motor trucks of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Go. recently made a successful journey from Boston to San Francisco and return, a distance of 7703 miles. They left Boston with a cargo of tyres for the military authorities at San Francisco, and completed the 3700 mile run in 21 days, allowing a one-day stop for machinery overhaul, before entering the alkali desert patch. The trucks were equipped with 44 x 10-inch All Weather Tread Goodyear Cords on rear wheels, and 38 x 7 Rib Tread Cords on the front.
