TRAINING NOTES. 1 (United Press Association.) Received October 22. 1.30 p.m. ' MELBOURNE, October 22. The weather was fine and the going good at Flemington this morning. Estland did nine furlongs on the grass in 2.5J, Desert Gold assisting in the last six, which were covered in 1.20. Finmark did a mile in 1.47, Killowen assisting in the last six, 1.20. Magpie did nine furlongs in 2.5 i and Prince Viridis nine in 2.12. Outlook covered a mile on the sand in 1.49 and Prince Bardolph a mile in 1.47. Escomb ran nine furlongs on the tan ia 2.5 and Trigie. star six in 1.19. King Offa was trotted and showed an improvement, Lingle and Kennaghair did useful work. At Caulfleld, Court Jester did 11 furlongs on the grass in 2.27, Colbert ten in 2.19, and Kilflinn nine in 2.0. New Zealand beat Wayland Smith over ten furlongs on the grass in 2.20. Cetinge and Archmarella ran four furlongs in 5G seconds and Seigneur ten in 2.14.
