RED CROSS CONCERT
AT TAUPIRI. A grand concert was given liy Mr T. Webster and friends, of Hamilton, in Taupiri Hall on Wednesday. The following programme was given; Piano duet, "Waves of th<> Ocean," Miss M. Waring and Mr Webster; song, 'The Floral Dance,'\Mr (J. Smith; song. "Where M.v Caravan Has Hosted," Miss Luxford; violin solo, "Cavalleria Rusticana," -Miss Hodgkinson; song, "Clod Send You Back to Me," Miss Peace; recitation, "Dorothy," Miss Chapman; clarionet solo, "The Lost, Chord," Mr Hodgkinson; instrumental trio, Mr and Misses Hodgkinson; duet, "Ye Mariners Hold," Messrs Cuhitt and Smith; recitation, Mr Shaw; song, "Trentliam," Miss Luxford: violin solo "Narcissus," Miss Hodgkinson; recitation, Miss Chapman: song, "Some One's Knocking at the Garden Gate"; Miss Peace; song, Mr Smith; song, Mr Cuhitt. Most of the items wen- enthusiastically encored. There was a good attendance, considering the had night, and a large numljor stayed to the dance. Excellent music was provided l\v Mr Webster. Fourteen pounds was raised fur the Hod Cross Fund. The Patriotic League is much indebted to nil friends who so kindly made the evening a success. Eventhing was given, and th c motors were provided by Mr Shaw. A pleasant evening was brought to a close hy the singing of the National Anthem.
