BRITISH PLANS FOR DEMOBILISATION. Received October 18 7.30 p.m LONDON,' October 17. Dr. 0. Addison. -Minister in Charge of Reconstruction, in a speech in London ,said that demobilisation would be undertaken acccording to the industrial requirements, i not by military units. Priority would be given to pivotal nun, and those with the greatest length of service and with large families. A scheme for affording soldiers access to the land had already been worked out. The acid-producing plants for high explosives will he utilised for the manufacture of superphosphates. A great scheme of afforestation is being prepared. ALLIES URGED TO PREPARE FOR PEACE. The Times, in a leader, says that sooner or later Germany will be forced to capitulate, and it behoves the Allied Governments U) prepare immediately for the advent of peace in the comparatively near future.
