ALLIED ADVANCE CONTINUES. AUSTRIAN CONVOY CAPTURED. IPEK ENTERED. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) Received October 19, 11.25 a.m. LONDON, October 18. French Eastern communique: Our victorious advance in Old Serbia continues. We reached Kalda, north-east of Nish, on Tuesday, and occupied the hills south of Pekrinac and Krusevac. The Franco-Greek advance guards further west readied Kursumjo and Novibazar, whence the enemy tied. The French cavalry in the direction of the Montenegrin frontier, supported bv Serbian comitadjis, attacked the Austrian convoys retreating to Mitrovitza, and raptured 3000 waggons and a huge quantity of material. This detachment on the 13th entered Ipek, where they captured 600 prisoners, an enormous quantity of grain, and stores.
