Troops who escaped from the sinking transport in Hoboken harbour in their night clothes said that the ship was undergoing repairs, but there is little doubt that the disaster was the result of an enemy plot. Three decks .are now above the water, the keel resting on the mud. Details of the occurrence are withheld, and troops are guarding the vessel. A gang of machinists were working when the accident occurred. It is announced that there was no loss of life, though 300 troops were/aboard. «
