Word has been received that Sergeant R. P. Binns, brother of Mr J. Binns, of Hamilton, has been wounded again. Sergeant Binns had been previously wounded and gassed.
Mr Campbell Johnstone, chairman of the Kaglan County Council, has been on a visit to Wellington to interview Ministers in reference to various county matters. He reports a successful mission.
Rev George Burgess, .Congregational minister, died at Papakhra yesterday. He was the father of Brigadier-Gen-eral W. L. H. Burgess, D.5.0., who is serving with the Australian Forces, and who was formerly Group Commander of No. 4 District.
A Press Association cablegram from Sydney announces the death of Bishop Stone-Wigg, who was the first Bishop of New Guinea, resigning in 1908. He was afterwards commissary in Australia for the Bishop of New' Guinea, and controller of the Church Standard. He was born in 1861, and was educated at Winchester and University College (Oxford).
