IN VIOLENT ERUPTION
AN ICELAND VOLCANO. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) COPENHAGEN, October 15. The Iceland volcano Hccla is in violent eruption after 38 years. The flames are rising thousands of feet above the glacier-clad mountain, and the country for hundreds of miles is illuminated. The Government is st-n.l-ing steamers to rescue the fugitives.
