EVACUATION OF BELGIUM COAST
ALL BIG GUNS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM OSTEND. EVACUATION BY COASTAL POPULATION CAUSES PANIC AND CONGESTION. (The Times.) Received October li, 11.10 p.m. HAGUE, October li. It is reported that all the Ostend guns have been removed. The coastal population are wildly excited, and they are evacuating districts within longrange artillery and flocking to the interior, causing congestion, panic and interference with the lines of communication. All news, including President Wilson's reply, is stopped at the frontier.
