OCCUPATION OF LAON. 0500 CIVILIANS LIBERATED. FRENCH FAR BEYOND THE TOWN. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) Received October 15, 8.45 a.m. LONDON, October 13. J A French communique states that the 10th Army this morning entered Laon, liberating CSOO civilians. We passed far beyond the town on the whole front of the Oise and north of the Ailette. East of La Fere we are on the edge of the southern bank of the Serre to Courbes station. ENEMY ATTACKS BROKEN. BY AMERICANS ON THE MEUSE. (Australian, N.Z. and Reuter.) Received October 15, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, October 14. An American communique states that on both sides of the Meuse we broke up strong and repeated attempts of the enemy to dislodge us from recentlywon positions.
