On Friday, 12th inst., we hold a clearing sale at Feneourt on account of Mr Claude Hope, when there was a large attendance of buyers, and all live and dead stock sold exceptionally well. The herd of 30 cows averaged £l7 6s, all young cows making from 15gns to 21gns, a few aged cows llgns to 12£gns, Jersey cross heifer calves £6 to £0 ss, implements, etc., at satisfactory rates. We held a clearing sale on account of Mr W. Ross, Kio Kio, on Tuesday, 16th inst., and report a most successful sale. Prices: Dairy cows, £ll 15s to £22, 36 two-year-old heifers (in calf) £6 10s to £9 ss, fifteen-months' empty heifers £6 4s, fifteen-months' steers £6 2s. calves £2 15s to £3 3s, hoggets 18s 6d, farm horses £l6 10s to £2O, aged horses £2 to £lO, implements and sundries at usual rates. At the clearing sale held on account of Mtb Payne, near Kihikihi, 30 dairy cows sold nt from £l2 5s to £l9, two-year-old Shorthorn bull 13igiis, two-year-old draught filly £l2, yearling draught fillv £B, drill £2B, roller £2O, plough £lB 10s. cultivator £l3 ss, disc £l6, sundries at satisfactory figures. TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. We held our usual stock sale at Te Awamutu on Saturday, 13th inst., when we submitted a good entry of cattle. There was a strong demand for young stock, buyers being present from King Country, Okoroire, and Te Puke, and all lines were disposed of. Prices: Light fat cows £l2 lo £l3, eighteon-months' steers £7 15s to £8 7s 6<l, well - grown steer calves £4 12s 6d to £5 2s, others £3 4s to £4, best mixed sex calves £3 14s to £4 10s, smaller sorts £2 7s to £3 3s, good heifer calves £4 6s to £5 3s, store cows £5 10s to £7, dairy cows (44, whole herd) on account Mr F.
