AN EXHIBITION THAT DOES HONOUR TO THE DOMINION. The Twelrth Annual Exhibition of the >Vaikato Winter Show Association will be held at the Exhibition Buildings Hamilton, June 4th to Bth, 1918. This is by far the most elaborate fixture in the history of the Association, which has spared no expense to make it a success. Children's Day will be Wednesday, June sth. A special programme has been arranged for the little folk, who will be admitted free on this day only. THE POVERTY OF UNAWARENEBB A greater poverty than that caused by lack of money is the poverty of unawareness. Men and women go about the world unaware of the beauty, the goodness, the glories in it. Their souls are poor. It is better to have s poor pocketbook than to suffer from a poor soul. . . WHY Y*MMOULD ATTEND THE SHOW. Because it is a local enterprise where people meet and exchange views: study improved methods, meet old friends, make new acquaintances and have a good time. BRING YOUR FAMILY. To the Show and have them spend a pleasant and profitable time viewing the many new and instructive exhibits. IF I KNEW. If I knew that a word of mine, A word not kind and true, MightT leave its trace. On a loved one's face, I'd never speak harshly, would you 2 If I knew that the light of a smile, Might linger the whole day through^ eavier part, I wouldn't withhold it, would youfl "I WILL." Columbus said, "I will," and he discovered a new world. The man said, "I will," and he made twenty bushels of corn grow where only ten had grown before. The boy said, "I will," and he won the game that day. Did you say it can't be done ? Awake I That's the im HELP US TO MAKE THE SHOW A SUCCESS. The Association desires every resident of the Dominion to assist in any way possible to make the Show a subw stantial success. With proper encouragement from the public and exhibitors, the Annual Show will be made the most instructive and enjoyable feature of the entire year. LET US SHOW WHAT 13 BEING DONE IN THE WAIKATO DISTRICT THIS YEAR. Every Exhibitor this year especially is exhibiting not only for his own, but for his country's benefit, whether it be a dry season or a wet one; show the Dominion what can be done. Dearly Beloved- The world was made for you. All that has gone before was that you might be. If you desire wealth, it can be yours. If you desire fame, it can be yours. But you must pay the price. Industry is the only coin acceptable at the gate of success. Our Roosevelts, or Carnegies, our Whitmans, our Edisons have bought their way to glory by hard labour. "It's the only way." The world and all therein that you want is yours, if you pay the price in the free coin of the realm—lndustry.
