AERIAL OBSERVATION REVEALS SUCCESS OF OPERATIONS
DECORATIONS AND PROMOTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING OFFICERS. (Australian and New Zealand and Reuter.) Mb Received April 25, 11.30 p.m. LONDON, April 24. The Press Bureau states that Vice-Admiral Keys has been promoted to Commander of the Bath in recognition of his services in connection with the Zeebrugge raid. Commander Carpenter, of the Vindictive, has been promoted to Captain. . The Admiralty states that following yestei day's operations our aircraft carried out observations and bomb attacks. Owing to the clouds the machines descended to 50 feet. They observed a clear break of 20 yards wide in the inner end of. the Zeebrugge mole, and a sunken object was seen lying at the piers at Ostend, blocking the greater part of the fairway. Numerous bombs were dropped on objectives on the shore.
