RAPTUROUS GREETING BY AMERICA.

General Joffre and M. Viviani were riotously greeted during their visit to the House. M. Viviani, speaking in French, thanked the House for its warm welcome and paid a tribute to President Wilson's leadership. He concluded with "Vive Amerique." General Joffre bowed repeatedly, and the Speaker led the applause, causing some amusement by refraining to pronounce the visitors' difficult names.
