MR J. R. LUNDON SUSPENDED

CASE FOR APPEAL COURT.

AUCKLAND, Wednesday. An application was heard at the Supreme Court before Mr Justice Sim this afternoon to make absolute a rule nisi to strike off the rolls of barristers and solicitors John Raphael Lundon, an allegation of gross over-charges in a bill of costs and failing to account. Hjf unor stated that although no affidavit had been filed, there was a voluminous letter, referred to in one of the affidavits, filed by the Law Society, which presumably set out Mr Lundon's view of the facts, and having these facts in its possession the Court was of the opinion that the rule ought to be made absolute. The case was reserved to the Couit of Appeal at its next sitting. His Honor also made an order suspending Mr Lundon from acting at .a barrister and solicitor, and from partaking in the privileges of a barrister and solicitor until the matter was dealt with by the Court of. Appeal * Leave was reserved, on the suggestion of Mr H. P. Richmond, who appeared for the Law Society, to Mr Lundon to file certain affidavits at the hearing of the case in the Court of Appeal.
