SPECIAL ORDER MAKING A SPECIAL RATE. v NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council held on Friday, the 16th day of March, 1917, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on FRIDAY, the 20th day of April, 1917, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers: In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of One Thousand Pounds, authorised to be raised by the said Hamilton Borough Council for the purpose of completing the undertaking of forming, grading, metalling and sanding streets in the Claudelands Special Rating Area for which a Loan of Ten Thousand Pounds was previously raised by the said Hamilton Borough Council, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of One Eighth of a Penny in the Pound upon the Rateable (unimproved) Value of all rateable property of the Claudelands Special Rating Area, comprising nil that area in the Borough of Hamilton mentioned and described in an Order in Council of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, dated the twenty-sixth day of August, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twelve and published in the New Zealand Oazettc of the twenty ninth clay of August. One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twelve, whereby the said area was declared to be included in the Boroutrh of Hamilton as from the first day of October. One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twelve, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pavable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being the period from the date hereof to the first dav of April, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-eight, or until the loan is fully paid off.
