SAVED FROM THE DEPTHS
CREW OF DANISH SUBMARINE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) COPENHAGEN, October 10. A Norwegian steamer ran over and sank the Danish submarine Dykkeren in the Sound. Three men were rescued and six were killed. Received October 11, 11.30 a.m. The crew of the Danish submarine Dykkeren were saved with the exception of the commander. During their; imprisonment divers descended and knocked on the sides. The lieutenant replied with taps in the Morse code, indicating the time they could hold out and inquiring for news of the commander.
