GORIZIA FURIOUSLY BOMBARDED SIGNIFICANT EXPLANATIONS. TRIESTE OF LITTLE STRATEGIC VALUE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 11, 11.10 a.m. ZURICH, jOctober 10. A wireless message states that the Austrian newspapers are significantly explaining that Trieste is of no great strategic value as an Austrian port owing to the Allies' blockade. ROME, October 10. The Austrians, realising that the recapture of Gorizia is impossible, are furiously bombarding the town. The Italian artillery located and destroyed many enemy batteries.
