The sub-committee appointed to report upon the proposed new street off Pembroke street, stated that an inspection of section 335, owned by the Hoard, and proposed to be benefited by the new :-treeet to be opened by* Mrs W. •f. Hunter, bad been made. The acceptance ol the oiler was recommended, the Hoard to pay only for the portion at the bottom of section 335. for which the estimated cost was between £2O and £3O. Iho Hoard resolved to give effect to the recommendation of the sub-commit-tee. 10 PER CENT WAGES ADVANCE. Mr V\. H. Castleton, an employee, made enquiry as to whether be was entitled to the war bonus as granted by other bodies to men engaged in similar work to his. On the motion of Mr Parr and the chairman it was decided to pay the Hoard's empolvees 10 per cent additional for a period extending to six months after the termination of the wsr. A FENCING SHARE. Mr B. Jones wrote requesting the Board, seeing it had rented sections 209 and 210, Fox Street, Hamilton East, to fence their half bounding section 211, without delay, as stock were grazing on his propertv whirTi be was putting in + o crop. All stock straying on the writer's property would he impounded. The matter was deferred till next nicotine. CLEARING NOXIOUS WEEDS. Mr J. H. Potter, London Street, offered £8 per rear f or the lease of seetion 43. Hamilton East, which comprises eiprht acres.—Deferred to next meeting of the Board, the chairman to yrnhe investigation on the poinf? in the interval.

Mr W. G. G. Watson offered £1 per calendar month for the srazins? of Graham Park, Galloway Street, Hamilton East.—Accepted. Mrs Rebecca Carson, Knighton road, made an offer of 35s per annum and payment of rates for the lease of section 41, East Belt, for a term of 14 years. The offer was made after the writer bad fully considered the work and cost of clearing and putting the land in order—The Board agreed to the offer, subject to very stringent terms as to clearing, which the chairman was authorised to draw ud.

Mr H. E. Tristram made an offer of per year for the lease of section 40, East Belt, which amount in addition to rates worked out, the writer stated, at £2 per acre per year, which he thought was a very good rent, especially as it would be necessary to lay it down again before it would be of any use.—The offer was accepted. FINANCE.

Accounts amounting to £39 8s were passed for payment. The treasurer reported that there was a balance at the Bank to the Board's credit of £352 13s lid.
