SYDNEY, August 31. The Public Supply Stores, in Sydney, were completely destroyed by fire early this morning. Ten surrounding buildings were damaged. The falling walls destroyed adjacent shops, smashed the telephone wires, and blocked the street. The total damage is estimated at £150,000. The insurances are: Colonial Mutual £21,000, Norwich L'nion £IO,OOO, New Zealand £4500.
