CAMBRIDGE CLUB. The members of this cluh tendered a farewell afternoon to -Miss Lundon yesterday, there being a large number ~f members and friends present. Several competitions for lady and men payers provided much enjoyment. In t! e hole bogev for ladies Mi.ss Lundon, Miss F. Cox, and -Miss K. Hallv tied, with scores of 2 down; and in the ph.yoff -Miss Lundon won. A. H. .N'ieoll and H. A. Heslop, all square, tied in the men's bogey, the former wiu.nng in the play-off. A combined appio.r/h----ing and putting competition took place at the first green, which is guarded by a drain bunker of unpleasant dimensions. The winners were .Miss Lundon and E. J. Wilkinson. The lady numbers of the club kindly dispensed afternoon tea.
During an interval in tlx- play, Mr B. S. Couper (vice-president) asked Miss London's acceptance of a travelling rug from her fellow-members. In doing so, Mr Couper spoke of Miss Lundon's sterling personal qualities, and of her service to the club. Her departure would be felt as a real loss, but it was hoped .Miss Lundon would meet with every success in her new sphere of labour. Mr John Lundon made a happy little speech on behalf of his daughter.
