SALEYARDS FOR FRANKTON
FARMERS AND CITIZENS MEET.
SCHEME TO HE DRAWN UP
A largely attended meeting of farmers and citizens was held at Frank-ton yesterday, to consider the erection of saleyards handy to the lwrough. Mr T. H. Jolly (Mayor) was voted to the chair. After considerable discussion, it was unanimously agreed that the time was opportune to erect saleyards at the .J unction. Various suggestions were put. forward in regard to the initial steps, and a general committee was formed, with a sub-committee, to arrange details of a scheme to ho placed Wore the farmers of the whole of the surrounding districts, at a meeting to be held at Erankton, on Thursday, September 7, at 10.30 a.m.
