The New York World says that arrests in connection with an alleged plot to smuggle 25,000 dollars' worth of jewi 11 cry into the United States has revealed the existence of a private ship express by which Germans in New York regularly sent and received letters to and from agents in Copenhagen by Scandinavian vessels. It is alleged that the system violated the United States' Statutes and defeated the British censorship. The World says that a representative of the Deutsche Bank admits giving as much as 100 dollars for the conveyance of a letter to Copenhagen. The extent to which the system has been used is to be investigated.
