This is the title of the remarkable series of films to be shown at the Theatre Royal, Hamilton, on the first three days of next week —afternoons and evenings. The pictures were taken with the approval of the Admiralty, War Office, and the Minister for .Munitions, and they give a wonderful insight into the extraordinarily complete measures taken by Great Britain to build up an army and keep the silent Navy supreme. In London these pictures received the patronage of the King and Queen and the Hon. A. J. Halfour addressed the audiences. The Evening News says: "These pictures give us a vivid presentation of the driving power of war, a thing which cannot be imagined, but must be seen. The question, 'What did Britain do in the great war?' is answered." The management are leaving no stone unturned to make the presentation of these fine pictures especially attractive. Mr J. A. Young will introduce the pictures on Monday evening, and the Frankton Municipal Band will render the following marches on the balcony. Tarador (N.Z. Main Body), "Guarde de Gour" (French Infantry), Sword and Lance (English Hussars), "Banner of Victory" (Allies), Kangaroo Parade (Australian Infantry). At the evening performances a full musical programme appropriate to the items will be rendered by a special military orchestra. The box plans are at Paul's Book Arcade, where seats are being rapidlybooked for all the evenings.
