At the inquest on the victims of the Carlisle railway accident a verdict of manslaughter was returned against signalmen Meakin and Tinsley and fireman Hutchinson. , * KILLED WHILE MOTORING. Received June 24, 11.15 o.m. SYDNEY, June 24. Captain Guy Owen Manning, Officer in Charge of Native Affairs at Rabaul, was killed while motoring in New Britain. AN AVIATOR'S DEATH. Received June 24, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, June 24. Lieut. Markill, an army aviator, was killed at Shoreham.
