When the cases the Minister for Customs v. the Australian Kodak Co., claim for £311,040, penalty for j nlles&d evasion of Customs duty and the same plaintiff v. Harold Anthony j Beau champ, for a like sum on the j same allegation, were called !>efore Mr Justice Edwards to-dnv the Solicitor-Genera! stated that tbe actions had been settled. The defend- ! ant com*'.;?- had paid £SOOO penalty together with £IOOO to cover costs, and the unpaid duty.
