All hope is abandoned. MACARTNEY'S LUCK. SYDNEY, Sept. 21. The passenger Macartney was not on board the Roskdale, having missed the boat- , — A PATHETIC INCIDENT. DYING MOTHER"S MESSAGE. WRONGLY DELIVERED. (Received Sept. 22, 10.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 22. A pathetic incident 0 f the Rosedale. loss was that a telegram that his mother was dying was wrongly delivered to William McKtiy, who with his wife and two children sailed by the Rosedale. The telegram was intended for another McKay in the. district. The wreckage includes , a raft and. a portion of , a deckhouse. Two of the crew of the Rosedale have been previously wrecked six times.
