GISBORNE, Thursday. Alfred Burnacle, a prisoner with many aliases, sentenced to 12 months for assault and robbery, and four years detention for reformative treatments «on Wednesday esca{>ed from the new Gisborne gaol at 11 a.m. by scaling, the prison wall, when the wander's attention was directed away for a few minutes.
A force of police is scouring the country for him.
