W. A. Veitcb, president of the Amalgamated Railway Servants, has been selected at the Labor candidate for Waoganui.
WAIPAWA SEAT
WAIPAWA, Thursday
A caucus meeting of the Liberal party was held yesterday to select a candidate for the Waipawa, seat. It was attended by seventy. The Hon. Mackenzie and Mr A. E. Jull were suggested, and after three hours' discussion no decision Was arrived at and the meeting adjourned for seven days. The northern end is solid for Mr Jull and the southern favors Mr Mackenzie.
MR HALL EULOGISED
DANNEVIRKE, Thursday
A largely attended meeting of delegates •:>[ the Liberal party in Waipawa was held at Otane yesterday, and passed a resolution eulogising Mr Hall's services to the electorate and recognition of his unswerving loyalty to 'his liberal principles.
