The gale played havoc with the bathing sheds, biand stand and other erections in Lyall Bay. Seme of them were knocked to splinters and mi st of the others damaged. The loss is about £3OO. Mrs Walsh, on opening the door on Tuesday in the city, was blown down by the wind and her thigh fractured. The Kapiti was nearly swamped at the heads and two men were hurt. A boat was s-wept off the chocks and the decks clean swept., The Arapawa went down and recovered the boat. The sky >is now clearing.
