♦ CFHREB BY-ELECTIONS. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received Sept. 18, 12.20 a.m.') BRISBANE, Sept. IS. Ths three by-elections, North Brisbane, Toowong and Rosewood, previously held by Ministerialists resulted in the return of Ministerialists Welsby, Macartney and Stevens by good majorities over Labor. Cottell, the member for Toowong, died and Macartney resigned his North Brisbane seat to contest Toowong. ENDORSEMENT CLAIMED. (Received Sept. 18, 8.55 a.m.) BRISBANE, Sept. 18. The Premier claims, that the byelections have emphatically endorsed the Government's administration of legislation.
