MARRIED v. SINGLE

The annual fixture between the Married and Single men will be played on Steele Park on Saturday next, when a well contested game should be witnessed. FRANKTON CRICKET CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual general meeting of the Frankton Cricket Club was held, at Mr Gosling's office last night, ]vTr T. Johnson presiding. The balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of 17s fid, was read and adopted. ■

A vote of condolence was passed to Mrs Moriarty and family in their recent sad breavement. The chairman, in moving the vote, expressed the sympathy of the club in the loss of the president. The vote was carried 1 n silence, all the members standing.

Beigrave and F. Fawcett ; hon. treasurer, Mr W. A. Gosling ; hon. secretary, Mr A. Connolly ; ihon. auditors, Messrs T. Johnson and E. Morley ; committee, Messrs E. Lentfer, W. J. O'Kane, E. Morley, T. Johnson, W. Goodman, W. R. Peace, A. R. Andrews and W. Livingston. The matter of affiliation with the. Waikato Cricket Association for the coming season was left over until September 26th, and the secretary was instructed to write to all numbers, who. if unable to attend, are to be asked to send their votes in writing. A hearty vote of thanks was occorded the outgoing officers. Accounts to the amount of £5 8s 9d were passed for payment, and a successful meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
