CRICKET
There is to be a strong effort made this season to form a cricket club, and several players are looking forward to enjoying the good old game. This is the first summer season that Ngaruawahia will have under Saturday half-holiday and the new arrangement will allow many a n enthusiast to enjoy a sport that was practically denied him under the old conditions. ROWING. As soon as the fine weather seta in the members of the rowing club intend to make a move, aad there is a prospect of a good season for the local club. NATIVE MEETINGS. After receiving several thousands of pounds the natives, who have been holding meetings for the past month have gone back, to their homes with the exception of a few who are still \ isiting the local natives. While the meetings were on trade was exceptionally brisk and greatly appreciated by the local tradesmen.
